Book Review: The Lincoln Lawyer
Here's something I want to start doing from now on. I read so many books, and with the library being my favorite place to go to here at Vilseck after the gym, I read a ton. So I'm going to start reviewing the books that I read and hopefully some of you will be motivated to read some of the books, if not all. Call it The Dishing Motrin Book Club.
I just finished The Lincoln Lawyer last night. It was an amazing read. It's about a defense lawyer who works out of his Lincoln Town Car, driven by one of his former clients. He barely had enough money each month to keep going, even though he was always working. Most of his clients were repeat customers, and they were usually from the wrong side of the streets.
One day however, a franchise client came into his life. A Beverly Hills playboy, who loved women a little too much had been accused of beating a woman at her house and trying to rape her. It looks like a case that is just too easy to win, and the money that he's going to get is too nice, so Mickey Haller signs up to play. Little did he know that his life was about to get a lot more complicated.
I enjoyed this book immensely. I'm going to have to keep reading some more of Michael Connely's work. If his other books are even close to as good as The Lincoln Lawyer was, I'm in for some good times.
I'm going to be starting the book, Anansi Boys tonight, so we'll see how it is. Heading to Hanau for the weekend to be with Kacee, and that will be good. Might not be doing to much reading for the next few days.
Til next time, I'm out.
